What is the Texas Lemon Law?

The Texas Lemon Law is a state law administered by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) that can help a consumer get his/her newly purchased or newly leased motor vehicle repurchased, replaced, or repaired in the event that the new vehicle is having repeated problems.

What motor vehicles does the Texas Lemon Law cover?

The Texas Lemon Law covers the following new motor vehicles: cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, motor homes, all-terrain vehicles (ATV’s), towable recreational vehicles (TRV’s), and neighborhood electric vehicles that are defective and covered by a manufacturer’s written warranty.
